MANAGER - DIVING OPERATIONS
Your
role would involve overseeing the operations of the underwater diving
business which includes Underwater Hull Cleaning, Propeller Polishing, Wet
Docking & Reporting, Underwater Welding, Blanking of Intakes and Outlets,
Inspection & Survey, NDT, Video and Photographs, Cleaning of Sea chests,
Anchor Search & Recovery from Seabed and Salvage & Wreck Removal.
Candidates must have:
15 years in diving operations, with at least 3 years in a management capacity
Appropriate Diving Certification
Experience as a commercial driver
Exposure to marine, maintenance, oil / gas is a must
Proven track record in meeting sales and profit targets
Ability to develop brand and business
Ability to drive capital investment in appropriate equipment and machinery to take the business forward
Ability to manage people development and training
BOAT BUILDING PROFESSIONALS
PRODUCTION IN CHARGE - MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL
INSTALLATION
You will manage the installation of deck machinery, electrical systems,
fit-out and finishing of medium-sized boats.
Candidates must have:
Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
6-8 years relevant work experience
Proven capabilities in finishing / fit out of medium-sized boats – coordination & sequencing / overlap of finishing activities
Knowledge of various Marine Classification Society standards
Ability to review plans, schedule work, and prepare appropriate material / supply requisitions to fulfill the requirements within plan and within budget
Skill in providing training and giving instructions in both Marine and Electrical Applications
PRODUCTION IN CHARGE
- WELDING & FABRICATION
You will manage the welding and fabrication functions of the aluminum boat
building process.
Candidates must have:
Suitable technical qualification
6 to 8 years in charge of welding and fabrication in an aluminum boat building company
Hands on work experience in aluminum fabrication and welding
Knowledge of aluminum vessel fabrication, MIG and TIG welding and various Marine Classification Society standards
Skill in providing training and giving instructions in both welding and fabrication
Candidates must have experience in boat / ship building industry and be able to communicate and work in a multi-cultural work environment including workforce from the Far East and Asian countries.
EPC PROFESSIONALS - OIL & GAS
PROJECTS MANAGER
You will be responsible for Project Management from tendering / estimation
through to contract review, liaising with clients, consultants, monitoring
and controlling progress at multiple sites and project close out.
Candidates must have:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
15 years project management experience in LSTK projects from concept to commissioning
Minimum 3 years experience independently managing projects worth 5 million USD or more
ESTIMATION ENGINEER
You will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, method statements,
tenders and proposals and providing techno commercial support for LSTK
projects.
Candidates must have:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
10-12 years experience in estimation
Experience in project execution and site construction
Proficiency in the use of estimation software
QC INSPECTOR
You will be responsible to ensure compliance with quality systems and
effective and efficient production methods.
Candidates must have:
Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
7 years of experience in the QC function
Thorough knowledge of welding processes / stage wise and final inspection
Knoweldge of ASME, AWS codes
Experience in carrying out welding procedure, qualification tests, welders’ evaluation / qualification
Proficiency in implementing QMS / weld audits
Exposure to Safety and Environmental Management Systems and QC documentation (ITP’S / method statements)
ELECTRICAL &
INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER
You are responsible to perform tank farm electrical and instrument
installation with DCS, SCADA and Fire Alarm Systems.
Candidates must have:
Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
5-8 years experience in electrical distribution systems, electrical engineering and project management, tank farm electrical and instrument installation with DCS, SCADA and Fire Alarm Systems
HSE ENGINEER
You are responsible for efficient and effective safety processes and ensure
that procedures are implemented and adhered to.
Candidates must have:
Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Proven track record of HSE involvement in a similar environment of heavy industrial fabrication works with at least 5 years experience. Preference will given to individuals with supervisory experience
Led or been involved with the implementation of an HSE system in the oil and gas fabrication industry
Ability to conduct basic HSE training sessions, for all levels of employees
PROJECT ENGINEER
You will report directly to the Site Manager and will be responsible for
execution of projects at sites.
Candidates must have:
Degree in technical discipline or equivalent
Multi projects experience in project management of storage tank fabrication and erection, piping projects and pressure vessels. At least 5 years plus experience in independently managing such projects, scope of which is over 15 million USD.
Knowledge of ASME, APD Codes
Man management skills and experience of working with multi-cultural project teams.
PIPING ENGINEER
You are responsible for installation of piping and pipe supports in oil &
gas projects.
Candidates must have:
Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
5-10 years experience in fabrication and installation of piping project like tank farms
Familiarity with materials and relevant codes
PLANNING ENGINEER
You are responsible for the preparation, periodic update and evaluation of
project execution plan, scheduling resource mobilization and identification
of areas of concern.
Candidates must have:
Degree / Diploma in Engineering
Minimum 5 years experience as a planner on oil & gas projects preferably on storage terminal tanks and piping projects
Thorough knowledge of planning software (MS Projects / PRIMAVERA)

SHIP REPAIR
PROFESSIONALS
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Your overall responsibility includes overseeing the operations of Ship
Repair and Workshop departments.
Candidates must have:
Appropriate Technical qualification / Degree or Diploma in Marine / Mechanical Engineering
20 to 25 years in a ship yard, dry docks as Ship Repair Manager, Workshop Manager. You should have headed the operations for at least 3 years
Experience from all areas of ship repair work including mechanical, steel and structural works
Experience in leading and coordinating a group of Ship Repair Managers and Engineers and overseeing the activities
Strong standing in the Marine community
Proven ability in operations control and people management
Computer literacy, exposure to ERP and CRM
ASSISTANT PROJECT
MANAGER-NAVAL REFITS
You are responsible to manage the day to day operations of ship repair /
conversion / refit.
Candidates must have:
Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Marine Engineering and additional qualifications / training in Project Management
Minimum 18-20 years ship repair / ship building experience from a shipyard
Sound knowledge of ship systems such as AC Plants, Diesel Engines, Ship Control Systems, Refrigeration, HP & LP Air Compressors, Pumps, RO Units, Sewage treatment plants and Hydraulics. Exposure to a Naval environment is preferable
Proficiency in the use of project planning software like MS Projects or PRIMAVERA
SHIP REPAIR ENGINEER
– DIESEL ENGINE SPECIALIST
Your overall responsibility includes overseeing the repair activities, with
a focus on repair of engines and other ship-board equipment.
Candidates must have:
Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Marine Engineering
10 to 15 years in a ship yard, service set-up or as a chief engineer / superintendent.
Expertise in the operation, troubleshooting of and ability to develop repair procedures for two and four stroke diesel engines from 1 MW up to 76MW diesel engines – preferably B&W, New Sulzer Diesel, Mitsubishi, Pielstick, etc.
SALES ENGINEER
You are responsible for supporting the Business Managers in achieving the
sales targets, debt collection, support marketing and business development
activities.
Candidates must have:
Degree / Diploma in Marine / Mechanical Engineering. An MBA / Diploma in Sales & Marketing is an advantage.
5-7 years sales experience in the ship repair / marine services industry
Hands-on experience in execution and / or estimation of ship repair jobs and ability to technically evaluate tenders / quotations for commercial bid
Outstanding interpersonal skills and strong selling / negotiation skills since key aspect of the job is interaction with senior customer personnel
Preferably have some sailing experience
Valid UAE / GCC driving license, preferably
Fluent communication skills in Arabic
Proficiency in MS Office packages – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
ESTIMATION ENGINEER
You are responsible for ensuring efficient and effective cost estimation,
tendering and follow-up on every project / job enquiries.
Candidates must have:
Degree / Diploma in Marine / Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 8 years experience as an estimator in ship repair, ship yards and / or Heavy Industrial Repair Services
Proven ability to develop detailed scope of work, bar charts and plans for every project / job being estimated
Familiarity with all activities, requirements and resources concerning repair and refit of ships
Knowledge of ship operating systems and purpose, plus repair standards and class requirements
Excellent knowledge of MS office – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project
MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR
You are responsible for the planning and execution of mechanical jobs
including engine and pump overhaul, coordinating for mobilization of
manpower and material, liaising with customers throughout the repair process
till job closure, completion of required documentation, inspect jobs as
necessary and support the estimation process.
Candidates must have:
Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
7-10 years experience and high level of expertise in overhauling pumps and large marine diesel engines
Ability to read and understand technical manuals
MACHINE SHOP FOREMAN
One long term position required in Dubai.
You are responsible for the supervision and production control of heavy duty
machine shop including planning and scheduling of jobs, allocation and
control of manpower, coordination with internal departments like QHSE,
procurement etc, liaise with customers throughout the repair process till
job closure, completion of required documentation, inspect jobs as necessary
and support the estimation process, training of manpower.
Candidates must have:
Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
10-12 years experience of which 3-4 should be in a supervisory capacity in handling lathes, vertical turning lathes, milling M/C, horizontal boring machines
Proficiency in reading and understanding manufacturing drawing
FABRICATION
SUPERVISOR
You are responsible for the supervision and control of welding and
fabrication jobs on board vessels, at sites or in the workshop, coordinating
for mobilization of manpower and material, liaising with customers
throughout the repair process till job closure, completion of required
documentation including inspection reports and quality control checks,
inspect jobs as necessary and support the estimation process.
Candidates must have:
Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or Production)
10 years experience including in supervisory capacity on marine welding and fabrication processes and various types of welding TIG, MIG, SMAW
Proficiency in reading and understanding fabrication drawing
Good exposure to steel structure fabrication
ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR
You are responsible for the technical analysis of incoming jobs, support the
preparation of quotes, mobilization of manpower and materials, execution and
control of the job, liaising with ship staff, classification societies and
surveyors, final inspection and preparation of repair reports.
Candidates must have:
Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
7 to 10 years work experience in ship building / ship repair industry. Must have hands on knowledge of ship board electrical equipment
Preference will be given to candidates with marine / ship repair / ship yard
background.
For all above positions candidates must have effective communication skills
in English, analytical skills, attention to detail, the ability to work well
in the team, and a strong focus on delivering quality results. You must be
proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, and software relevant to
the position / function.
