Topaz Group’s offshore support vessel owning and operating division, Topaz Marine, provides supply and support services to the offshore oil and gas industry. With a diverse fleet of 100 vessels, we support major offshore projects in the regions in which we operate, with anchor-handling tug supply vessels, platform supply vessels, multi-purpose supply vessels, specialised barges and ice-breakers among many others. Today, Topaz offshore vessel operation ranks within the top ten largest in the world.
Topaz has substantial operations throughout the Middle East and the Caspian, with additional vessel operations in North Africa and Southeast Asia. The Middle-East hub of operations is Doha, from where the fleets of the Topaz MENA units - Doha Marine Services and Topaz Marine Saudi Arabia - are deployed. In the Caspian arena, Topaz units - BUE Caspian, BUE Kazakhstan, BUE Turkmenistan and Topaz Marine Astrakhan - operate a diverse fleet, supporting offshore development and production.
Topaz derives the vast majority of its revenue from secure, medium to long-term contracts with major oil heavyweights such as BP, Agip KCO, Saipem and Total. 10% of Topaz’s contract exposure is in the exploration stages of the oil and gas extraction cycle, while the remaning bulk of 90% is in support of field development and production. Topaz Marine operates through four strategic business units: Topaz Marine Caspian, Topaz Marine MENA, Topaz Marine Africa and Topaz Marine Subsea.
